He is often instructed on complex and high-value boardroom disputes, discrimination and whistleblowing claims and sensitive investigations.

Philip also represents senior executives, from advising on their contractual terms and obligations when they are starting new roles, to negotiating high value severance packages – ensuring that the overall value of any negotiated package is maximized. He is a firm believer in work place equality and Philip works with talented women in high-value and complex discrimination, harassment and whistleblowing claims.

Philip is the President of the Westminster and Holborn Law Society, a Council Member of the Law Society of England and Wales (representing employment lawyers in England and Wales), and the Chair of the Editorial Board of City Solicitor magazine.

Philip is the head of both our North America desk and our China desk. Philip and our team provide advice to investors, corporations and state-owned entities and encourages greater investment in the UK. Our team assists clients by working with our associated offices in Europe to help expand their businesses. Philip has spoken at business conferences in China (Beijing, Hangzhou, and Shanghai) focusing on UK bound investment.

Philip has appeared as an employment law expert on BBC News; Sky News; ITN and BBC Radio; lectured for CIPD; and published legal articles/columns for the national, HR and trade press. He is also a Liveryman and Freeman of the City of London.

Philip builds strong relationships with clients, many of whom he has represented for over 15 years. You can connect with him on LinkedIn and view his client and peer recommendations and endorsements.

Film making is another passion. He was an executive producer of the short film Anonymous, which was in the official selection of the Austin Film Festival, and the Gifted Hypothesis. He has written several short film scripts and children’s books which are in various stages of development.
