Arbitration

Arbitration is another alternative method of resolving a dispute without involving the Court

We have substantial experience of international commercial arbitration and even domestic arbitration.

Arbitration is a consensual dispute resolution process based upon the agreement of the parties. It is a private method of resolving a dispute, without the involvement of the Court system, and can lead to a final and binding decision for the parties.

Arbitration is a fairly complex area of the law given that there are numerous rules with regard to the conduct of arbitration and the concept of fairness. This applies to how the evidence is adduced at the arbitration and the conduct of the arbitrator.

Any eventual settlement will culminate in an arbitration award. Legal costs incurred in the arbitration can be recovered.

We are content to give you a preliminary appraisal of any dispute where you require arbitration to be used as a method of resolving that dispute.
